The Philippines was lashed by strings of typhoons last September and October. Four typhoons came one after the other, one hadn’t recovered yet from the previous and came another. Indeed, how true is the saying, ‘when it rains, it pours.’

I am happy to let you know that the
recommendation of the Strategic Planning Committee, re: for the World
Federation of Methodist & Uniting Church Women to be member of the Standing
Operational Committee on ‘ex officio’ status which carries only the privilege of voice but
without vote, was voted down.Hence, we
shall continue to be member of this world body retaining the privilege we’ve
been enjoying for the many past years – with voice and vote.
As your World President, I rendered
our report which was appreciatively accepted [please see/read attachment] by
the Body.
Let us pray that our big Methodist family will
continue to make a difference – making disciples of Jesus Christ - in this
world.
“What you heard from me, keep as the pattern of sound teaching, with faith and love in Christ Jesus. Guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you-guard it with the help of the Holy Spirit who lives in us.” (2 Timothy 1:13-14) (Read by Max McLean. Provided by The Listener's Audio Bible.)
